Iranian presidential elections will not significantly affect relations with Armenia: 
opinion

YEREVAN, JUNE 13, ARMENPRESS: Nothing will change Armenian-Iranian relations after presidential elections which will take place in Iran on June 13. During the meeting with journalists such opinion expressed iranologist Gohar Iskandaryan. In her opinion Iran continues to stay the country with which Armenia does not have any problems. “Armenian-Iranian” relations dill deepen in future,” she said adding that Iranian foreign policy is designed in direct participation of clergymen and it is the reason that elections will not have substantial effect.

In her opinion Iranian presidential elections will not be so hot. “Economic development is important for Iran now and from nominated candidates Ali Akbar Velayati is best in this issue,” said Iskandaryan, reports “Armenpress”.  

Reverberating to the opportunity for Armenia to use Iranian gas she noticed that Iranian gas is les qualitative than Russian but Iranian gas is preferred in Europe.

Presidential elections in Iran will take place on June 14. Today is a silence day in that country.
