YEREVAN, MAY 15, ARMENPRESS. The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia summarized the preliminary results of May 14 Yerevan City Council election and prepared a protocol during the extraordinary session, reports Armenpress.

According to preliminary results, 354.158 out of 842.151 eligible voters participated in the election.

The number of ballots cast in favor of the ‘Yelk’ bloc is 70.731 or 21%. 26.109 people or 7.75% voted in favor of ‘Yerkir Tsirani’ party. 240.036 people or 71.25% voted in favor of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).

8.259 ballots were declared invalid.

The protocol was signed by all members of the Commission.
