YEREVAN, OCTOBER 27, ARMENPRESS. Footwear manufacturing will drastically rise in the upcoming three years, businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan told the reporters at the opening ceremony of “Yerevan” trade center.

According to him modern equipment is necessary to develop footwear manufacturing. “Saying shoes we do not mean only shoes. Other ingredients required for footwear manufacturing must be produced in Armenia as well”, “Armenpress” reports Sukiasyan saying.

The businessman noted that initially the production will be realized in Armenia, and later will be exported. “We need modern equipment to manufacture competitive goods”, he added.

Armenian made shoes will be sold on the third floor of “Yerevan” trade center. 

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan attended the opening ceremony of the trade center on October 27. Nearly 1000 jobs will be created.
