YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS. Leading footballers of the Armenian national team Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Yura Movsisyan, Aras Özbiliz, Robert Arzumanyan, Marcos Pizzelli, Gevorg Ghazaryan, Gevorg Kasparov, Hrayr Mkoyan and Karlen Mkrtchyan commented on the latest developments in the Armenian football and the press-conference of FFA (Football Federation of Armenia) president via NEWS.am and Armfootball.com websites. “Armenpress” reports that the statement of the footballers reads:

“Taking into account the news, comments and rumors spread around the team lately, we want to make a statement related to the abovementioned issues. First of all we’d like to stress that the comments and news referring the match against Albania are completely fake.  We are perfectly confident about each player of our team, and looking for betrayal in our team will bring no results. We are sure that all the footballers of the team share the same idea.

As to us, we wish to note that during the 7-10 years we played in the national team we have always been committed and entirely devoted to the team, have done our best for the sake of the team, there has been no occasion when we refused to play in the team while being healthy and without injuries. Moreover, when having injuries, we played in numerous matches at the coaches’ request after taking injections, realizing that our absence could harm the team.

We have always acted to the benefit of the team harming our health and on many occasions also our club carrier.

We have always had and have united atmosphere in our team. All the footballers are like one family, and the relations between the players are as warm and friendly as they used to be and the negative atmosphere in the team is not at all preconditioned by tense relations or behavior of the national team footballers.

We want to thank all the fans of the national team both in Armenia and outside of its boundaries for the joint 7-10 years. You have always supported our team irrespective of the results we had and the quality of our performance.
