YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS. Turkish security forces detained at least 22 people during anti-terrorist raids carried out simultaneously across six Turkish provinces on Tuesday, Turkish security sources said. “Armenpress” reports the aforementioned, referring to World Bulletin.

The operations were carried out in Istanbul, Ankara, Konya, Van, Isparta and Agri provinces early morning that specifically targeted members of the PKK-affiliated terrorist organization, Kurdish Communities Union (KCK), the sources added.

Several teachers, university students and public officials were said to be among the 22 suspects detained.

There have been several arrests across Turkey since the July 20 Suruc suicide bombing that killed 32 people; most of the suspects detained since then have alleged links to the terrorist groups PKK, KCK, ISIL as well as the Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front.
