YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS. The decrease in food production by 8,8% 181 billion 113.5 million AMD (over 382 million 782.4 thousand USD) in January-August this year, is mainly preconditioned by the fact that 44 thousand 928 tons of sugar released last year in January-August reduced this year by 79.3% up to 9 thousand 281 tons, production of vegetable oil by 54.4% up to 1 thousand 218.2 tons, pastry 11.7% up to 9 thousand 615.5 tons.  

“Armenpress” reports that according to the National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia certain growth was registered in milk production in January-August, 2015 as compared with the same period, last year. In particular, cheese production grew by  4.4% - 13 thousand 24.8 tons, milk - 4.9% up to 349.1 million liters, matsoun  by 58 % forming 4 thousand 250.7 tons, sour milk by 94.2% - 3 thousand 891,2 tons, and last year’s index of ice-cream production was exceeded by  55.4 % forming 9 thousand 379.8 tons. Moreover, meat production grew by 0,9% forming 27 thousand 249.8 tons.
