YEREVAN, JULY 27, ARMENPRESS. Gabriel Ghazaryan, the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, was present at the 2015 European Youth Olympic Festival opening ceremony, Tbilisi, on July 26 within the delegation headed by PM of Armenia – Hovik Abrahamyan.

 Previously PM Hovik Abrahamyan and Minister Gabriel Ghazaryan met with the delegation members representing Armenia at the European Youth Olympic Festival.

The Minister greeted the delegates and stressed the presence of the Prime Minister and his support for our athletes’ good performance, as well as the importance of the participation of the Armenian athletes in the Olympic Festival.

As Armenpress reports, the Minister said:

“Many European athletes, who register great success today, once participated in this festival”.

Delegations from 49 countries participate in the sports festival. The festival is held once in 2 years. This year it will be held from July 26 till August 1. 22 athletes represent Armenia.  They will compete in 9 sports. The Armenian athletes will participate in 6 of them. 6 athletes out of the 22 will take part in Judo,  3 – gymnastics, 3 - athletics, 3 – swimming, 4 – tennis, 3 - cycling.
