Evgeny Kissin and Hover Chamber Choir preparing for New York concert dedicated to Armenian Genocide Centennial
YEREVAN, 6 MAY, ARMENPRESS. World famous pianist Evgeny Kissin and Hover Chamber Choir (artistic director Sona Hovhannisyan) are preparing to give a concert at Carnegie Hall of New York on May 26. The event will be held as part of the concert series held by the organizers of the Yerevan Perspectives International Music Festival and dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. As the organizers of the Yerevan Perspectives International Music Festival reports to “Armenpress”, the program includes the works of Komitas, Azizyan, Sharafyan, Mansurian, Babajanyan, Penderecki and Chopin.
The last concert of the Yerevan Perspectives International Music Festival was held in Brussels on April 26. During the concert, three renowned musicians, including violinist Maxim Vengerov, cellist Mischa Maisky and trumpet player Sergei Nakariakov paid their tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide by performing with the National Orchestra of Belgium led by Maestro George Pehlivanian.
