The event was attended by His Holiness Karekin II, the Catholicos of All Armenians, religious figures, ministers and other high-ranking officials.
Armenpress reports that the Director of the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts Hrachya Tamrazyan delivered opening speech. “We try to present the tremendous number of our losses, but we also aim at presenting the vital force of our culture, power and savior mission. The survived manuscripts’ heritage is the evidence of our great culture, which has its unique place in the pan-Christian culture.
Among the presented manuscripts, there are such manuscripts, which have already entered the treasury of the world culture and about which hundreds of works have been written”, - said Tamrazyan.
