YEREVAN, OCTOBER 30, ARMENPRESS: The centenary of the Armenian Genocide is another stage for continuing the fight directed toward international recognition and condemnation of the genocide. Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said this at the joint sitting of the RA National Assembly Standing Committees on State and Legal Affairs and Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, presenting the priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy.

“Next year the 100th year of the Armenian Genocide will complete. Of course, the considerable part of the work has been done already this year, even last year there were some events on that occasion, but the events due next April 24, are in the focus of attention,” he stressed.

At the same time, Shavarsh Kocharyan noted that 2015 April 24 is not an end in itself. The projects implemented in the frameworks of the fight for international recognition of the genocide will be continued afterwards as well.
