Iran’s Armenians raise awareness of officials on Genocide
YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS: Implementing events devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the Teheran Committee put the stress on the out-community works, aiming at the raising awareness among the Iranian people about the legal issues related to the Armenian Genocide. The representatives of the Iranian Armenian community informed the journalists about it, Armenpress reports.
“We put the stress on the out-community works, contacts with different Iranian circles – state officials, intellectuals, media representatives. We have a program, which, due to individual deputies, will bring to the recognition and establishment of the Armenian Genocide, as the Islamic Republic of Iran neither officially denied nor recognized the Armenian Genocide”, - said Ara Shakhnazarian, the Deputy Chair of the Armenian Prelacy Council of Tehran.
