Bulgaria holds event on 99th anniversary of Armenian Genocide

YEREVAN, APRIL 24, ARMENPRESS: On the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide on April 24 the Ambassador of Armenia to Bulgary Arsen Shoyan, the Vicar General of the Armenian Apostolic Ter Abgar Hovakimyan, the former Prime Minister of Bulgaria Renata Indjova, representatives of Bulgarian-Armenian community and other officials put wreaths at the monument of the Armenian cemetery in Sofia devoted to the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

The Department of Mass Media and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that Ter Abgar Hovakimyan delivered a liturgy, then the Ambassador Shoyan made a speech who, in particular, underscored the need for the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide to exclude crimes against humanity in the future.
