20th century's first genocide committed under cover of World War I: International Conference
YEREVAN, APRIL 21, ARMENPRESS. The conference on "The Caucasian Front of the First World War, Genocide, Refugees and Humanitarian Aid” held in the newly opened conference hall of the Armenian Genocide Museum – Institute, on April 21, united leading experts from Russia, Italy, Canada, France, Norway, Hungary, USA, Turkey. Within the framework of the two-day conference a reflection will be made on the recruitment of the Armenians during the First World War in the Ottoman Empire: their disarmament, the genocide of the Armenian people by the government of the Young Turks.
