YEREVAN, MARCH 29, ARMENPRESS. The ministries have adopted a new culture of joint operations, in fulfillment of the Prime Minister’s task.

Soon the ministry of Diaspora will jointly realize several programs with the ministries of culture and healthcare, minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan told ARMENPRESS.

Minister Hakobyan has recently signed joint orders with the abovementioned ministers.

According to minister Hakobyan, under the program it was decided to create task groups of the two ministries, who will be responsible for the process of realization of the programs.

“Today the main focus of the Government’s programs is the policy of assisting investment programs, meaning to what extent we will be able to attract investments to the country. Our ministry has presented corresponding suggestions and its view on using the Diaspora’s potential. Today we are carrying out works for using the potential of the Diaspora and its possibilities for the development of Armenia in all sectors. We had discussions will almost all ministers, we have considered those sectors where the possibility of joint work exists, and we began to design a list of several events, which we must jointly realize in both the Diaspora and Armenia”, the minister said.

Minister Hakobyan said in addition to the abovementioned ministries, works are underway for enhancing cooperation with the ministry of education and science and the ministry of sports and youth affairs.

“Spreading cultural policy in the Diaspora is extremely important for us, training of cultural figures of the Diaspora, informing them on cultural news, in order to also bring our youth closer to their identity through Armenian culture, assist the solution of issues related to preservation of Armenian identity.

In terms of healthcare, I have to say our countrymen have great contribution in the development of healthcare in different countries, we have tens of thousands of doctors, who are able to use their skills and knowledge in the healthcare field where they live. Especially after the earthquake, we witnessed how Armenian doctors had great contribution in settling the healthcare problems of Armenia, not only did they come to help the victims, they visited Artsakh, assisted the soldiers, and also were able to train hundreds of Armenian doctors, with their assistance abroad medical equipment worth millions of dollars was transported to Armenia. Today these ties continue. They come to Armenia for vacation, they lecture and offer medical services, perform surgeries and consultations.

Like I mentioned, the signing of an order with the ministry of education and science is in process. The focus is on the textbooks of schools in the Diaspora, training of teachers, issues of teaching Armenian language”, Hakobyan said.

The minister also commented on several events, which will be organized in the coming months.

They include the events dedicated to the 650th anniversary of formation of Poland’s Armenian community, which will include concerts, exhibitions, scientific conferences in both Poland and Armenia. The annual international festival entitled “The World in the Village” will be organized, the Armenian festival in Australia’s Sydney, Days of Argentina’s Armenian Community in Armenia, Armenian Culture Days in Stavropol, events dedicated to Armenia’s 26th anniversary of independence, Armenian Days in Iran etc.
