Prime Minister Karapetyan, Vice President of European Investment Bank discuss partnership & 
cooperation

YEREVAN, MARCH 24, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan received Vazil Hudák, Vice President of the European Investment Bank.

Ambassador Piotr Switalski, head of the EU delegation to Armenia, was also present at the meeting.

The PM praised the cooperation with the EIB aimed at realization of programs in the energy, transportation, agriculture and tourism sectors.

Karapetyan highlighted the EIB’s partnership with the private sector as well, and added that the government has adopted a clear policy on carrying out reforms in all sectors exclusively.

“Our steps will be aimed at providing favorable, predictable and transparent environment for businesses”, the PM said.

Vazil Hudák stressed the EIB is interested in continuing the cooperation with the Armenian government in all outlined directions – programs will be implemented for the business sector, with the purpose of realizing different projects in communities. Hudák said they had productive discussions in this direction with other Cabinet members as well.

Karapetyan welcomes the EIB’s willingness for close partnership and added the government plans serious reforms in provincial community administration, which will enable to increase effectiveness and transparency, involve private investors in various public services etc.
