“Armenpress” News Agency, NKR Union of Journalists sign memorandum of cooperation

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 24, ARMENPRESS. “Armenpress” News Agency and the NKR Union of Journalists have signed a memorandum of cooperation.

According to the document, “Armenpress” will contribute to training of young journalists in the NKR, trainings, mutual visits, online joint projects, master classes will be organized.

The cooperation will significantly contribute to the awareness raising about the NKR.

The memorandum of cooperation was signed by Director of “Armenpress” News Agency Aram Ananyan and Chairman of the NKR Union of Journalists Kim Gabrielyan.

“I attach a great importance to the establishment of such cooperation format since “Armenpress” in particular during the past 5 years gives a special attention on increasing the quality of journalism in Artsakh. This document is the second signed memorandum. The first one is the cooperation established with “Artsakhpress”, and the materials of “Armenpress” have a great share in “Artsakhpress” newsfeed. “Armenpress” also includes the materials of “Artsakhpress” by greatly contributing to awareness rising of Artsakh values. We are committed to the ideology of presenting Artsakh to the world, highlighting the achievements and paying attention to the issues, we will continue the productive cooperation and we are open for all partners”, Aram Ananyan said. He said Artsakh has always had good traditions of journalism that must continue.

Chairman of the NKR Union of Journalists Kim Gabrielyan said an agreement was reached to organize lectures for young journalists, high grade students.

“It is also expected to send specialists from Yerevan to Stepanakert and vice versa. It is possible to hold lectures online. The memorandum also supposes other forms of cooperation. They are still at the development stage, in any case we can strengthen the ties with the media here, create a platform which will serve the basis for information exchange”, Gabrielyan said adding that there are good opportunities.
