The representatives of the civilized world cannot look calmly at the genocide and perceive that phenomenon as a positive fact since it is a crime which has its consequences on the entire civilization, Ambassador of Poland to Armenia Jerzy Marek Nowakowski said speaking about the international community’s response to the genocides.

He cannot himself admit genocide in any other way than as a terrible crime. He said people must not be killed, but if a nation or an ethnic minority are being killed, it is much more terrible and disgusting phenomenon.

“Currently the international community is viewed as an iceberg which is difficult to move. Nevertheless, the decision must be made and up to the last person, who committed genocide, must be condemned. The entire civilized world must fight against it in order to prevent future genocides. Till now a judicial case is underway against people who have worked in camps during the Second World War. I think the persons, who have committed genocide, must always be persecuted and condemned even if they are 90 years old”, Jerzy Marek Nowakowski said, reports “Armenpress”.
