ANF: 31 Turkish soldiers killed in clashes with Kurdish militants in Geliyê Doskî
19:08, 7 September 2015YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. Turkish-Kurdish clashes of September 6 in Geliyê Doskî area of Hakkari's Gever district left 31 Turkish soldiers dead, including one staff lieutenant colonel, and 6 others wounded.
“Armenpress” reports that ANF news agency informs about this citing the statement issued by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
PKK mentioned that the number of casualties on the side of the Turkish army was higher but the exact number couldn't be verified, adding that PKK suffered no losses in the clashes.
It is mentioned that the clashes continued until September 7 morning during which the Turkish side used luster and phosphor bombs.
According to the Kurdish side, the casualties of the Turkish Armed Forces are higher. The corpses of soldiers of the Turkish army remain in the territory under Kurdish control. The Armed Forces of Turkey conduct negotiations with the mediation of Kurdish villagers to take the bodies of the soldiers.
