YEREVAN, JULY 6, ARMENPRESS. President Serzh Sargsyan visited today Tigran Petrosian Chess House to say his last goodbye to the Executive Secretary of the Armenian Chess Federation, Gagik Hovhannisyan, Honorary Journalist of the Republic of Armenia and a famous chess commentator, together with his family members, colleagues and numerous chess fans. As Armenpress reports citing “President.am,” the president of the Republic of Armenia also sent a condolence letter to the Hovhannisyans: “With his long activities, Gagik Hovhannisyan contributed to the development of chess in Armenia, educated and brought up generations of journalists and was the tireless annalist of Armenian chess history.

“I express my deepest sympathy to the eminent intellectual’s family, relatives, people and colleagues,” reads the president’s condolence letter.
