YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 17, ARMENPRESS.  Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan on 17 February  visited a number of military units located in the north-eastern part of the republic and got acquainted with the life and service of the soldiers, the security system and the activities aimed at strengthening the frontline.

General Department of the President’s staff of Artsakh Republic informed Armenpress that according to Bako Sahakyan the army building has been and will remain among the key priorities of our state-building process, highlighting within this context the protection of borders, considering it one of the most important components of maintaining stability and peace in the whole region.

Thereafter the President visited “Madaghis-1” hydropower station and inspected its activities. The Head of the State stressed the importance of this power facility in ensuring energy security and sustainable economic growth, giving concrete instructions for the proper implementation of the activities. Vice prime-minister Arthur Aghabekyan, defense minister Movses Hakobyan and other officials accompanied the President.
