Pushkov: Erdoğan deliberately tries to aggravate relations with the Kremlin

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 6, ARMENPRESS. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan is moving towards deterioration of relations with the Kremlin, charging his press secretary to speak with accusations against Russia, Chair of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Alexey Pushkov wrote in his Twitter micro blog, “Armenpress” reports.

Earlier, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that the Su-34 Russian warplane violated the country's airspace. Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov stated that no violations of Turkish airspace by planes of Russian air group in Syria was registered, and the statements of the Turkish side are "unfounded propaganda." According to Konashenkov no violations of the Syrian-Turkish border were fixed neither by Russian air defense weapons in Syria nor by Syrian radar control of the airspace. A spokesman for the president of Turkey Ibrahim Kalyn said that Erdoğan is trying unsuccessfully to contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the phone.

“The press secretary of Erdoğan has no right to judge Russia. But the degree of its severity is visible on Syria action reunification with Crimea and the leading role of the UN. Ankara behaves provocatively, charging the press secretary to act with far-reaching denunciations and accusations. Erdoğan is moving towards deterioration of relations ", - Pushkov wrote.

The relations of Russia and Turkey are in crisis after on 24 November 2015 Turkish warplane F-16 shot down the Russian Su-24 in Syria. Russian President Vladimir Putin called it a "stab in the back" by the supporters of terrorists. After the incident, the Russian president signed a decree on measures to ensure national security and special economic measures against Turkey.
