YEREVAN, JUNE 29, ARMENPRESS: The protest actions, held in Armenia due to the increase of the energy tariff, may make Inter RAO UES sell the Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC. The holding has already conducted corresponding negotiations. Armenpress reports that Коммерсантъ wrote about it on June 29.

The newspaper writes that the Russian holding has already negotiated with the businessmen, including the owner of Tashir Group Samvel Karapetyan. Though, as the newspaper states, there might be some problems with the sale of the company. The Electric Networks of Armenia has considerable debts and the demonstrators demand that the authorities do not compensate the damages from the state budget.

In their turn the representatives of Tashir Group informed Коммерсантъ that the company has not purchased the Electric Networks of Armenia.

“If there is a statement about the sale of the company, at that time any company may understand, studying the conditions, how economically beneficial it will be to purchase a company with huge debts”, - Коммерсантъ cites the words of the Group’s representative.
