US Department of State criticizes Erdoğan for making racist statements to journalists and 
Armenians

YEREVAN, JUNE 5, ARMENPRESS: The United States Department of State called on the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, making insults and accusations to the media representatives, to ensure their actions uphold democratic values. Armenpress reports, citing the official website of the US Department of State that the Senior Advisor for Strategic Communications of the US Department of State Marie Harf stated about it during the daily briefing. 
“We urge the Turkish authorities to ensure their actions uphold democratic values, including due process, judicial independence, and freedom of expression, including access to media and information. We’ve said that for a long time and we remain concerned”, - said Marie Harf. To the question of a journalist would she denounce or decry or criticize or whatever the negative word is for Erdoğan’s criticizing Armenians, homosexuals and journalists, the representative of the US Department of State answered: “Absolutely”.
