YEREVAN, 17 DECEMBER, ARMENPRESS. The court of general jurisdiction of Armenia’s Kotayk Province conducted a regular trial for actor Vardan Petrosyan’s case. Before moving on to the debates, Ruben Baloyan, the plaintiffs’ attorney, submitted a mediation with the demand to restart the proceedings, and after the court upheld the mediation, Baloyan presented the damages caused to the plaintiff and an appeal for the defendant to compensate a total of AMD 12,611,013 for further treatment of the persons injured from the car accident and for the attorney’s service. Afterwards, the defendant’s attorney Nikolay Baghdasaryan asked for a 15-minute break to become familiar with the appeal, and Judge Vaghinak Mkrtchyan accepted and announced a break until 16:25.

After the break, defendant Vardan Petrosyan’s attorney Nikolay Baghdasaryan submitted a petition to the court with the request to have Judge Vaghinak Mkrtchyan ask Armenia’s Bureau for Car Insurance Dealers to find out whether the insurance companies had fully transferred all the sums to the injured party or not, how much money had been compensated and whether all the funds paid to the injured parties had been spent or not. The court examined the injured party’s arguments and decided to uphold the defendant’s request. The subsequent trial for Vardan Petrosyan’s case was postponed and will be held on 25 December 2014 at 14:00.
