YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 2, ARMENPRESS. France assesses positively the initiative of inviting the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Yerevan on April 24, 2015 and handing the invitation-letter over to him and welcomes any initiative, which will lead to the regulation of relations between the two countries. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to the Republic of Armenia Henry Reynaud stated this in a conversation with “Armenpress”. Among other things, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to the Republic of Armenia Henry Reynaud highlighted: “France welcomes any initiative, which will contribute to the establishment of closer relations and dialogue between Armenia and Turkey on behalf of the regulation of relations of the two countries.”

Previously it was reported that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandian attended the ceremony of inauguration of the newly elected President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, which was held on August 28.

The Press, Information, and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress” that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandian had a brief conversation with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the course of the reception held in honor of the heads of delegations, which followed the ceremony. Minister Nalbandian conveyed Recep Tayyip Erdoğan the official invitation of the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan to attend the remembrance ceremony of the Armenian Genocide victims, which will be held on April 24, 2015 in Yerevan.
