YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. The parliament has adopted at first hearing the bill by the opposition Bright Armenia (LHK) party on changing the definition and requirements for office for Police Chief and National Security Service Director, making these positions political ones.

Persons appointed to these positions will have to meet the same requirements as candidates for parliament.

The bill was heavily debated at the session.
