YEREVAN, JUNE 15, ARMENPRESS. Under Arpine Hovhannisyan’s leadership, steps were taken in the Justice Ministry, however, they are not enough, Davit Harutyunyan – newly appointed Justice Minister, said after the Cabinet meeting on June 15, reports Armenpress.

“Implementation of each program must be accompanied by public discussion and presentation. For instance, yesterday, I found that there is a legal institution which has been formed last year and by developing it Arpine Hovhannisyan made a very key step, but the most concerned sector of the public is not informed enough about it. In fact, we need to together work on that path”, the Minister said.

As for the situation of correctional facilities, the Minister said rooted changes must be made. “We have many problems in correctional facilities and we need to firstly think about eliminating the causes which will lead to elimination of consequences”, he said.
