YEREVAN, JUNE 8, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Mihran Harutyunyan, the Greco-Roman wrestler and silver medalist of the Olympic Games and the European Games, has nothing to do with the brawl and shooting incident in Moscow.

Rumors were circulating in media outlets that a brawl involving Mihran Harutyunyan has happened in Moscow, Russia, where a shot was fired from a traumatic (non-lethal) handgun.

Karen Giloyan, spokesman of the Armenian Wrestling Federation, and Arsen Badalyan, vice president of the federation, dismissed these rumors in an interview with ARMENPRESS.

“Mihran Harutyunyan has no involvement in these incidents. This is what happened: Mihran’s car was parked for maintenance in this technical service point, where the brawl happened. And this maintenance facility is owned by a friend of Mihran, and his car was brought there for maintenance. He [Mihran] wasn’t there: the police officers who responded revealed that his car is parked there. Only this is the involvement of Mihran Harutyunyan in this incident. He is at home, recovering from an earlier sports trauma, and will join the national team soon”, Giloyan said.
