YEREVAN, JUNE 7, ARMENPRESS. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the Tehran attacks, which targeted the Iranian Parliament and the Ayatollah Khomeini mausoleum in the country’s capital, according to Fars news agency.

Gunmen had stormed into the Iranian parliament in the morning of June 7. Armed with AK 47s, the gunmen opened gunfire inside the building.

Preliminary reports said 1 person was shot dead, and 8 others were wounded.

The parliament attack was followed by another attack targeting the Ayatollah Khomeini mausoleum.
