Armenia’s export/import & trade turnover grows
15:05, 1 March, 2017YEREVAN, MARCH 1, ARMENPRESS. The volumes of exports from Armenia in January 2017 comprised 121 million 471.4 thousand USD.
According to the National Statistical Service, the volumes increased by 35.4% compared to January of 2016.
Imports to Armenia also increased, with volumes rising by 51.4% - comprising 237 million 224.8 thousand USD.
Trade turnover comprised 358 million 696,2 thousand USD in January 2017 – a 45.5% increase.
In terms of foreign trade turnover, Russia remains the leading partner of Armenia. Trade turnover worth 130 million 535.4 thousand USD was realized between Armenia and Russia in January 2017 – increasing by 60.8%. The second largest trade partner for Armenia is China – with 36 million 271.1 thousand USD worth trade being realized – increasing twice compared to the previous year.
The other large-volume trading partners for Armenia are:
Bulgaria – 19 million 361.5 thousand USD – 17.4% increase
Germany – 18 million 703.3 thousand USD – 8.2% increase
Trade turnover with Iran dropped by 7% - comprising 15 million 333.1 thousand USD
Switzerland – increase of over 27.8 % – comprising 15 million 55.7 thousand USD
The volumes of trade turnover between Armenia and the UAE also significantly increased – growing 8.3 % in January 2017 – comprising 14 million 868.6 thousand USD.
Trade turnover volumes with Georgia increased 10.4% - 12 million 294.2 thousand USD.
