YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 20, ARMENPRESS. 972 construction companies are officially registered in Armenia, employing around 13.8 thousand people.

According to the National Statistical Service, the majority of the companies, 660, are micro-enterprises, with up to 9 employees each.

250 companies are listed as small – with 10-49 employees.  58 are listed as medium companies, having 50-249 employees.

4 companies are listed as large, having more than 250 employees.

Construction works worth 156 billion 460 million drams have been carried out by the 972 companies during 2016. Large part of the works were carried out by the small and medium companies.
