YEREVAN, JANUARY 19, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan says the Armenian side must first of all rely on its forces and respond to Azerbaijan’s provocative actions, reports “Armenpress”.

“We must first of all rely on our forces. All the remaining actions derive from this. Of course, the provocative actions must receive response. It is another issue, that the two Armenian states, contrary to Azerbaijan, really do not strive for the resumption of large-scale military operations”, the Deputy FM said, recalling the 1994 trilateral document on ceasefire.

Kocharyan said Azerbaijan tries or pretends that it will try to solve the issue through military means. But the Armenian sides seek for the maintenance of the ceasefire agreement. “This doesn’t mean that we are afraid, it means that we believe that it is right to solve issues peacefully”, Shavarsh Kocharyan said.
