YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS. US State Secretary John Kerry continues making efforts to reach agreement with Russia over Syria’s Aleppo despite leaving his post soon, reports The Washington Post.

“State Secretary John Kerry is making intense and incredible diplomatic efforts in order to reach deal with Russia on ending the siege of Aleppo”, The Washington Post writes.

The newspaper says Kerry reportedly holds phone talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov twice a week, as well as they held a meeting in Peru within the framework the APEC Summit.

According to the Washington Post, Kerry fears that the US President-elect Donald Trump will reach a different agreement with Moscow while assuming the post, as a result of which Washington will be “directly” appeared in Assad’s side.
