YEREVAN, 29 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. The former Vice-President of the “Twitter" social network, the Head of the Department of the Uber engineering American company Raffi Krikorian thinks that there are good opportunities in Armenia for the progressive ideas of the technological sector and the startup companies. According to him, the lack is only in the organizational skills, which is possible to solve by meeting with experts. During the HIVE engineering conference in the "Tumo" Center Creative Technologies, answering to the questions of “Armenpress”, Raffi Krikorian said that he is open to the new ideas and wonderful thoughts.

Asked whether he has any plans to support an Armenian startup company, he answered. "Last year, I have also done something similar, when I delivered a lecture. I think that the product is created like that, thereby the teams are created. I really think that there is a real opportunity for us in this country. We are incredibly intelligent and we should use this opportunity. The only missing thing is the organizational side; how to organize and lead it, how to approach that question. Therefore, I hope that through such activities, giving them regular character, we can change our mindset and enter the global Internet economy". 

Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder and Executive Director of the social networking sites Reddit, which is on the list of 27 sites of the world, also would like to support the Armenian startup companies. "It must be asked to my lawyer. I do not know what is necessary for the investment in the Armenian company in the legal and fiscal terms. But I'd like to find a way to support the startups and Armenian companies," he noted.
