Seyran Ohanyan and UK Ambassador to Armenia reaffirm standpoint on exclusively peaceful solution of Karabakh conflict

YEREVAN, AUGUST 6, ARMENPRESS. The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan and the UK Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Armenia Katherine Leach discussed the current situation on the Karabakh-Azerbaijani line of contact and the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The meeting was held on August 6. As reports “Armenpress”, the joint statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia and the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia states that Katherine Leach extended her condolences to the families of the servicemen killed in the recent incidents. In turn, Seyran Ohanyan introduced the situation on the Line of Contact.

The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan and the UK Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Armenia Katherine Leach shared their concerns over the increase of escalation and the both sides stressed the necessity of stabilizing the situation The interlocutors reaffirmed their position on the exclusively peaceful negotiated solution of the conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.
