YEREVAN, AUGUST 23, ARMENPRESS: The historical Stone Bridge (Tashköprü), located nearby the old bath-houses under the Kars Castle, is being renovated. The reconstruction is being implemented by the regional administration of the Kars Roads N18. As reported by Armenpress, quoting the Turkish Haberler News website, the construction works of the Stone Bridge will be completed in October 2013. According to the project, 780,000 liras will be spent on the construction works. It is noted that the Bridge is being renovated with the condition “of remaining fully loyal to its historical view”.

The Tashköprü (Stone Bridge) is a three-eye bridge over the Kars River. Close to the bridge are three old bath-houses, none of them operating any longer. The Bridge was restored for the last time in 1719.
