YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS: European Union sees a serious progress in the Armenian Integration to EU. Armenpress quoted Onno Simons, head of EU political, economic and press department in Armenia, as saying at the seminar on the cooperation and interaction of Armenian state institutions which took place in Yerevan on November 20. According to him in the process of cooperation Armenia agreed to pass to system of association. Armenia should follow the succeeded examples of EU member countries by creating efficient cooperation between the state institutions, he said. Onno Simons also added that the Parliament should be a platform connecting society and government.

EU parliamentarian group presented the document, pointing out the gaps of the cooperation between NA, government and the presidential administration. Onno Simons has informed that the document contains some suggestions on the possible reforms.

Alexander Arzoumanian the leader of EU delegation to Armenia stressed the importance of the seminar.

The specifics of the application of these practices in Armenia and needed reforms have been discussed during the conference on the topic “Towards a common inter-institutional approach for EU-Armenian integration”.
