YEREVAN, JULY 30, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Grand Master Tigran Petrosyan scored a win over  Indian chess player GM S.P.Sethuraman .Petrosyan has scored five points and jointly with Indian chess players Surya Shekhar Ganguly and Abhijeet Gupta shares 1-3 places, Armenian Chess Federation told Armenpress. 

Our compatriot is the highest –rated participant in this tournament with according 2661 points.

 Organized by the efforts of  Kavala municipality , Kavala International Open Chess Tournament is already being launched for the 21 st time, it declared its launch from 25th July  and is set to last untill 1st August. 

The players are  divided in three groups – Open A for those rated above 1900, Open B for the U2000 participants and Open C for U1050 and juniors born after 1.1.2000.
