Armenian Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan visited today "Almast" factory in Yerevan and got acquainted with the activity of the enterprise. He was presented the current indexes and development prospects of the factory, as well as the production opportunities and current issues.

"The state must pay attention to all spheres of industry, and we have separate approaches toward every sphere," the Minister said in a briefing with journalists, stating that compared to the last year, "Almast" factory has increased the export volumes twice. "Nevertheless, here, too, there are issues, which must be kept in the focus of attention of the state," Tigran Davtyan assured, saying that he is ready to listen and discuss issues of the sphere with participation of owners of enterprises.

Director of the company Vahram Tepelikyan noted that they have managed to provide growth of productive indexes thanks to entering the real market. "Currently we are carrying out works in the direction of realization of our production in markets of European countries," the director informed.

"Almast" company is formatted on the base of factory "Almast" which was established in 1974 and privatized by JV CJSC "International Business Centre" in 2001. High level of organization in production of synthetic diamond powders and diamond tools allowed OJS Company to produce tools from synthetic diamond powders which are well-known in world practice.

After the visit a consultation-discussion was held, during which the Minister presented the essence of the undertaken active policy on industry and listened to remarks and proposals of enterprisers concerning it.
