An exhibition will open at Martiros Saryan house-museum July 16 entitled "Character of a woman in Saryan's Art". Over 30 portraits of women painted by Sarian will be presented and through a slide show the other portraits of women by the artist that do not belong to the museum will be presented.

Chief fund protector of the house-museum Sofya Saryan told Armenpress that in his art the artist has completely changed the content of the portrait of a woman. "Focusing his glance on the features of his models, on certain stance, he was striving to reveal the inner essence of the females, their rich and exciting nature", she said, adding that in the portraits Saryan presented intellectual woman that brings its creative participation in the creation of cultural values of the new century.

The exhibition will be open by the end of the year.
