BTA. Mobile Exhibition about Mosaic Heritage in Bulgaria Unveiled in Sofia

YEREVAN, MARCH 19, ARMENPRESS/BTA. An innovative mobile exhibition titled "Bulgaria and the Mosaics" was presented at the State Institute for Culture here on Tuesday. The exhibition aims to present the rich and diverse mosaic heritage in Bulgaria through selected details of ancient, medieval and modern mosaics. It also presents Bulgaria's connection with the preservation and research of the mosaic heritage in Southеastern Europe.

"Bulgaria and the Mosaics" consists of 26 printed panels, each equipped with a QR code that leads to a website presenting the digital part of the exhibition. The website includes information about the presented objects, their location on the map, the institutions and organisations thanks to which they are included in the exhibition and short popular science texts about the history, problems and practices for preserving mosaic art in Bulgaria.

The exhibition was developed by the Balkan Heritage Foundation in 2023 in cooperation with a number of Bulgarian museums, non-profit organisations and experts in the field of art studies and archaeology.

The Balkan Heritage Foundation is a leading cultural organisation dedicated to the study and preservation of cultural heritage in Bulgaria and the Balkan region. Established in 2008, the foundation actively operates in various countries such as Greece, Montenegro and the Republic of North Macedonia.
