YEREVAN, DECEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS. Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Armenia Fan Yong on December 8.

As ARMENPRESS was informed from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, during the meeting, the directions of cooperation in the field of labor and social protection, in particular, a number of issues aimed at increasing the quality of services provided to children, the full establishment of the Unified Social Service, and the development of social housing were discussed.

Minister Narek Mkrtchyan highly appreciated the effective cooperation with the Chinese Embassy, noting that this meeting is another opportunity for the development of sectoral cooperation. "We value the study and exchange of Chinese best practice and knowledge in various areas of social protection. We hope that the cooperation will be continuous and we will record the desired result."

Ambassador Fan Yong also emphasized the efforts made by both sides to expand the scope of cooperation, expressing readiness to take continuous steps in this direction. "Now Armenia is in a difficult period. There are many families who need support, and the Chinese Embassy will do its best to provide them with the necessary assistance."
