“Zartonk” party’s leader says voted for “formation of national government”

YEREVAN, JUNE 20, ARMENPRESS. Ara Zohrabyan, who is leading “Zartonk” national Christian party’s electoral list for the June 20 snap parliamentary elections, cast his ballot at a polling station.

He says he has voted for formation of a national government in Armenia.

“With these elections we expect that the people would reject the anti-national. As for the chances of being elected, the results will show, but we hope that we will be the ones in the Parliament to preserve the value system, no matter whether our people will manage to trust us in this short period of time and give their vote, we will continue our work”, he told reporters.

He added that he hasn’t noticed anything extraordinary in the polling station where he voted, but noted that there has been a problem only in the organization form.

The voting for early parliamentary elections kicked off in Armenia on June 20.

The vote will be concluded at 20:00, and the ballot count will begin.

25 political forces – 21 parties and 4 alliances are running for parliament.

50 foreign and 68 local media outlets have been accredited to cover the elections.

8 international and 19 local organizations will carry out observer mission during the elections.
