Justice Ministry lambasts “morally and legally inadmissible” fake report on Pierluigi Collina

The Ministry of Justice has strongly dismissed a news report which claimed that FIFA Referee Committee head, Italian football coach Pierluigi Collina has illegally adopted an Armenian child in the scandalous illicit scheme that was recently revealed by Armenian authorities.
The Ministry of Justice condemned “some media outlets” for violating the presumption of innocence and attributing crimes to foreign nationals.
“Moreover, certain media outlets allow themselves to present concrete names, attributing crimes to them without a court verdict.”
The ministry said the situation is “morally and legally inadmissible”.
The Ministry of Justice denied the report and said that no foreign national by the name of “Pierluigi Collina” has ever applied for adoption in Armenia.
At the same time, the Ministry of Justice cited the law which defines criminal liability for revealing the confidentially of adoption without the consent of the adoptive parents.
