Parliament resumes debate of 2020 state budget draft, PM in attendance

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 5, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian Parliament resumed the debate of the 2020 state budget draft.

The debate is also attended by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the Cabinet members.

“According to the 2020 budget draft it is expected to have 4.9% economic growth which will allow to have manageable risks. The tax revenues next year will be more by 0.3%. In 2020 entries of 1 trillion 602 million AMD in tax revenues are expected, which is an improvement by 0.3 percentage point. And in fact, instead of the expected 1 trillion 464 billion AMD tax revenues this year, it is expected that next year we will have higher tax revenues. The current expenditures will decrease to some extent compared to the great extent expected this year. In 2020 deficit is expected to be 2.6%”, finance minister Atom Janjughazyan said during the debate of the budget draft.

Earlier the opposition Prosperous Armenia faction announced that they will against the 2020 state budget draft, considering it as non-revolutionary.

PM Pashinyan stated that this budget is a revolutionary budget.

The debate of the budget draft launched in the Parliament on November 13.
