Armenia's Education Deputy Minister arrested for bribery

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS. Based on the operative-investigative measures of the National Security Service of Armenia, one of the Deputy Ministers of Education, Science, Culture and Sport has been arrested on suspects of receiving bribe of particularly large amount. His driver and the president of one of the football clubs of Armenia, who is also the de-facto head of a number of provider companies have also been arrested, ARMENPRESS was informed from the NSS Armenia.

According to our information, the Deputy Minister is Gevorg Loretsyan.

The National Security Service of Armenia informed that according to preliminary information, the Deputy Minister received particularly large amount of bribe with the assistance of his driver for supporting the mentioned entrepreneur to win the competitions for providing sportswear to institutions subject to the ministry,

The driver was arrested immediately after receiving the money from the entrepreneur.
