Total of 545,000,000 drams in assistance provided to March 1st victims so far
09:30, 22 November 2019YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS. A total of 545 million drams in assistance has been provided so far to victims of the 2008 post-election unrest in Yerevan, known as the March 1st events.
By November 12th, the Justice Ministry had received 63 applications for consideration.
45 were approved, 19 were rejected and 1 is still being processed, the ministry told ARMENPRESS in response to an inquiry.
The rejected applications did not meet the criteria for eligibility.
The law on providing assistance to the victims of the March 1st events passed parliament in April, 2019.
