YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Anna Hakobyan, spouse of the Armenian prime minister, chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of My Step and City of Smile charitable foundations, participated in the Reykjavik Global Forum-Women Leaders during a visit in Iceland on November 19, Mrs. Hakobyan’s Office told Armenpress.

At the Forum Prime Minister of Iceland Katrín Jakobsdóttir and Speaker of Parliament Steingrímur J. Sigfússon delivered opening remarks.

On the sidelines of the Forum, the Armenian PM’s wife had a private talk with former President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė during which they highlighted women’s engagement in the public and political processes. The sides expressed readiness to develop respective projects on this direction and carry out joint works.

On the same day Mrs. Hakobyan met with Chairwoman of the Board of the Women Political Leaders Global Forum Hanna Birna Kristjánsdóttir. The sides discussed the possible cooperation prospects, as well as a number of programs of mutual interest.
