YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS. Armenian President’s spouse Nouneh Sarkissian, who is in Qatar together with President Armen Sarkissian on the sidelines of his official visit, met with the students of the Mesrobian College and their parents at the Armenian Embassy in Qatar, the Presidential Office told Armenpress.

With their performances in Armenian the kids welcomed the guest, and Mrs. Sarkissian in her turn gifted her books to the students.

“These little kids are our most precious treasure. I want to specifically thank their parents and teachers for conveying the Armenian language to them”, Nouneh Sarkissian said. “I know how difficult it is to live far from home and preserve the language. You have done a great job. These kids know that they are Armenians and should learn to speak in Armenian, visit our church and preserve our faith. Because these are the most important values of our nation. We couldn’t remain Armenian without our language, our church, our national traditions which we consistently preserve and transfer to the generations”.

The Armenian President’s wife added that all children have a talent and urged their parents and teachers to reveal and develop that talent. “Dear teachers and parents, discover that talent in your kids, do not let it perish. Grow up talented Armenians, our nation is famous to the whole world through Armenian individuals”.

Thereafter, Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian read one of her fairy tales for the children.
