of charter

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. Several representatives of the executive committee of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) consider FFA President Artur Vanetsyan’s appointment of Abraham Khashmanyan as head coach of the Armenian national football team as null and void.

Chair of the Federation’s Internal Audit and Compliance Committee Mesrop Arakelyan said on Facebook that the FFA President has no right to appoint a head coach of the team. “According to the rules of procedure the right to appoint the head coach belongs exclusively to the Federation’s Executive Committee”, he said.

“Such behavior of the FFA President is unacceptable and should receive a respective reaction by the FFA executive committee and the entire football community”, member of the executive committee, healthcare minister Arsen Torosyan said in turn.

Abraham Khashmanyan has been appointed head coach of the Armenian national football team, the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) said on November 6.

The contract’s term is until November 30, 2020.

FFA President Artur Vanetsyan wished success to the new head coach.
